The GREENICE is a NordForsk funded project on ‘Impacts of future sea ice and snow cover changes on climate, green growth and society’, led by Noel Keenlyside (UiB).  The project is aiming at understanding the impact of the changes in cryosphere (sea ice and snow cover), in particular how much it influences the atmospheric circulation, through a number of coordinated AGCM experiments. The GREENICE project is going to have its first annual meeting next Monday to Tuesday. Please see the attached mail for the tentative agenda. As you may see from the agenda, the meeting will pretty much focus on the progress and planning of the project itself. But you are welcome to attend or come to talk to the participants – many of them are from Bergen (UiB and NERSC). The meeting will be held at Nordlys, DMI.
