Permafrost on Mars: Preliminary results and nice images from the Phoenix Mars Lander mission.

NASA’s Phoenix Mars Lander mission landed successfully in the martian arctic 5 months ago. Since then, it has performed measurements of the martian atmosphere, soil and ground ice to investigate the Martian water cycle. The mission is soon coming to an end, and I will give an overview of what has been learned plus show some nice images.
